Try these quick fixes first

Most alarm issues are caused by device permissions, volume, or an interrupted setup. Before contacting support, try the steps below.

Check the alarm

Confirm its time, repeat days, sound, and enabled status.

Review permissions

Allow notifications, alarms, motion, or Screen Time when the feature needs them.

Restart and retry

Reopen Tiko, recreate the alarm, and run a short test before bedtime.

!

Important: Do not rely on any single alarm for emergencies, medication, safety-critical events, or other high-consequence situations.

If an alarm did not ring

  • 1
    Confirm the alarm is enabled

Open Tiko and verify the alarm’s time, AM/PM setting, repeat schedule, and next scheduled date.

  • 2
    Check volume and sound

Raise your device volume, choose an audible alarm sound, and make sure the selected sound is still available.

  • 3
    Allow notifications and alarm access

Open your device settings and make sure Tiko can send notifications and use the system alarm features it requests.

  • 4
    Test before relying on it

Create an alarm a few minutes ahead and keep the device powered, charged, and outside restrictive battery modes.

Math, steps, shake, typing, and scanning

Missions use only the device capabilities needed for the mission you choose. If a mission cannot start, select another mission or review its permission in device settings.

Math and typing

These run inside Tiko and do not require extra device permissions.

🏃

Steps and shake

Motion & Fitness access may be required. Move naturally and keep Tiko active until the target is reached.

QR or barcode

Allow camera access, use good lighting, and hold the code steadily inside the scanner frame.

App blocking is always your choice

Snooze Penalty temporarily blocks only the apps you select after you snooze. On iPhone and iPad, it requires Screen Time access.

Blocking did not start

Confirm Snooze Penalty is enabled for the alarm, select at least one app, choose a penalty interval, and allow Screen Time access.

An app is still blocked

Wait for the selected interval to finish. Reopen Tiko and review the active penalty and selected apps.

Turn the feature off

Edit the alarm and disable Snooze Penalty. You can also revoke Tiko’s Screen Time access in device settings.

Purchases, subscriptions, and restore

Restore a purchase

Open Tiko’s paywall and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Manage or cancel

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, then select Tiko Alarm.

Request a refund

Apple processes App Store billing and refund requests. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

When contacting us about a purchase, do not send payment-card information or account passwords.

Control access from device settings

Tiko may request notifications, camera, photos, Motion & Fitness, and Screen Time depending on the features you enable. You can review or revoke optional permissions at any time, but the related feature may stop working.
